Year purchased: 2005 March and May
I was looking for a pair of boots which I can couple with Mogema M55 80 Roadracing frames I acquired in March 2005.
Frames: MOGEMA M55 80, 326mm (12.8") frames "Road Racing 80" Dual Box technology, aluminum series 7000. They are very nice, maneuverable yet stable balance is maintained. Perfect length, good stiffness. Wheels: Team Labeda Series 80mm/83a. Standard hub. Bearings: Twincam ILQ-9 608Z. Boots: Powerslide boots are very comfortable as for speed boots. I can skate for more than 30 minutes from the very first time. Both heals fit into the boots nicely in position. Only (but quite big) problem is sizing. The smallest size is euro 37 (US 5). Even R4 runs small, '5' is little bit large. I try to lace-up tight to adjust this problem. Another problem is cuff buckles. They are little too short. In order to buckle up, I need to tighten the cuffs very much and it becomes too tight after a while. Skating performance is great. I can do out edge easily. There is no bulky cuff to interfere my ankles. The combination with Mogema M55 80 seems to be great. Actual weight of these boots plus these frames is not the lightest, but once I put my feet on, they can fly no problems. Skated Central Park loop without any problem rather with joy. Overall rating of this pair of skates is "good". Great frames. If I can overcome with some problems on boots, they sure become a great pair. ----- Purchased online.
